In this regard, the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030 objective is to put Europe's biodiversity on a path to recovery by 2030, for the benefit of individuals, the planet, the climate, and the economy according to the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on Climate Chang Objectives. It is also worth mentioning EU Bioeconorny Strategy 2018 startup and its Action Plan which updates knowledge from the original strategy publication in 2012. It puts forward an extensive roadmap to strengthen and scale up the bioba ed sectors and unlock investments and markets. A sustainable and circular bioeconomy can convert waste streams into value-added products. This can stimulate innovation and generate incentives to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030. In thi regard, within the olive oil sector there are new proposals and considerable interest for circular economy approaches with a great potencial for the future.
